On this day of days we offer a joyful sacrifice of praise to the Father who raised his Son from the dead. Let us be intent upon the life Christ offers us, Christ our Passover who has been sacrificed.

The Easter Triduum ends with the conclusion of Evening Prayer. The first 8 days of the Easter Season make up the octave of Easter and are celebrated as Solemnities of the Lord,
The fifty days from the Sunday of the Resurrection to Pentecost Sunday are celebrated in joy and exultation as one feast day, indeed as one 'great Sunday' . These are the days above all others in which the Alleluia is sung.
